Advice for crash dieters

Most people often think of diet as getting rid of food. Some even think that its starving yourself to death. That was what I thought at first. If you go on a crash diet, here is what you'll get:

1. Ulcer, Poor digestion, and a bad stomach.
2. You'll become anorexic. You'll even think that vegetables make you fat.
3. Bad mood most of the time. Hunger gives you a negative feeling.
4. Gain more weight after the program is over.
5. Pure depression.
6. Loss of muscle. Muscle burns calories. Once you lose them, your metabolism will get weak.
7. A weak heart.
8. Death!

My advice to crash dieters are:

1. Meal replacement. Replace your unhealthy meals with healthy ones. The real meaning of diet is eating the correct meals. Click here to find out what they are. You might be surprised to see that they are way too cheaper than junk foods. Once you're full, you'll stop craving for the bad ones.
2. Move often.
3. Drink a lot of water. Preferably cold. Water can flush the toxins away. I wonder why so many dieters think that water makes them fat. Remember that its zero calories.
4.. Be patient. Don' t be in a hurry to lose weight. The faster you lose, the faster you gain. Successful weight loss happens in about a few months(depending on your goal). It will be defined as successful if you lost weight and have a strong metabolism at the same time.

Deciding to lose weight

Weight loss is more of a serious decision. Once you decide, you'll do it. Its not some sort of activity that you're going to do in a few days or weeks. You have to decide what to eat often. Don't worry about skipping junk foods cause you can have them at least once a week if you are on a program. If you're not on the program anymore, you can go ahead and eat them everyday. You also have to decide how many times you're gonna work out and do cardio within a week. I decided to go weight lifting first before cardio to look leaner.

Weight loss is more of a lifestyle change. It all starts with a decision. When I made that option to lose weight, I decided to lose it the way I want it to. I told myself that I don't want to skip alcohol, weekend buffets, ice cream, and a bag of potato chips. I do have a lot of temptation surrounding me because my business is a convenience store surrounded by sodas, beers, canned goods, and many tempting foods like chocolates. My brother takes home boxes of pizza thrice a week. I asked myself how am I going to survive it. So I did some research online on how I can do it. Most websites suggest that I should get rid of those foods. Other websites suggest that I should eat 6 small meals a day to succeed in my program. I can't do that. In case Im in a hurry to lose weight, I'll strictly follow it. Although, Im not in a hurry. I was even tempted to buy some weight loss pills but then I decided to do it the normal way because diet pills won't improve your metabolism. So how can I resist that lifestyle? I did make plans on my own. I wanted to lose weight no matter how long it will take as long as I can go back to my old eating habits without gaining weight. Yes, it is possible but the consequence there is you have to exercise a lot and eat a balanced meal. I decided to move a lot, go on a jogging program to strenghten my metabolism(since I eat a lot). At first it was a task then it just suddenly became an addiction. I also went weight lifting to burn more sugars and fats. I was afraid to do weight lifting at first because I thought it will make me grow bigger until I realize that its harder to gain weight (muscle weight) than to lose weight. I filled my kitchen with good foods like oatmeal, whole grain cereals, low fat milk, chicken, vegetables, and gallons of water. Whenever I feel like going on a snack, I go with an apple, grapes, and oranges. If I crave for soda, I go with the diet soda or just water. Because of that, I noticed that I don't crave for pizzas anymore eventhough its in front of me. In 5 months time, I noticed a big change in me.

Now Im on my weight maintenance program eating whatever I want and still sticking to the calorie amount I need to follow within a day. If I feel that I have enough food in me, I go jogging. To inspire some of my friends and relatives, I ate a box of pizza in front of them last night at my grandpas party without even worrying that I'll gain weight. For now, Im happy with the weight maintenace. In a few months time, I'll decide to go for a six pack abs which is a little bit harder than losing weight. Decision is the best motivation on losing weight. Its not about looking good or becoming healthy. Its more of believing in yourself.

Becoming a weight loss blogger

Before anything else, I want you to read this article I just read awhile ago which totally inspired me to become a weight loss blogger. Its not about weight loss. Its just a reminder that I don't need to be some professional on a topic.

I really have no intentions before to become a weight loss blogger. First of all, Im not an expert. Im not a nutritionist. I don't have any degree on nutrition and other health stuff. I just live a normal life like most individuals out there. Just like most people, I drink beer, alcohol, and non diet sodas. I do drink them but not most of the time. I also love junk food but I eat them in moderation. Its just that I succeeded on losing weight and I do love the feeling of sharing it with others.

So what are the reasons why I decided to become a weight loss blogger? There are so many niches to choose from and this is the one I'am really passionate about. I love movies, tv shows, video games, and music. Its just that I can't blog on those and I get a different feeling when I blog about weight concerns. I feel like I can do it for FREE! I may not be a doctor, physiologist, professional dietician, or a certified gym trainer but some people around me kept asking questions over and over on how I lost some weight. Why just hide it if I can share it? Good thing I found a way to share it online which I know will reach a lot of people someday. Another good reason why I blog about this is that I can easily relate to others in a lot of ways. Ever heard a doctor tell you to drink beer? No. They will tell you to stop it completely. What about a dietician telling you that its alright to eat pizzas and burgers even if its only once a week? I bet there are only a few. I remember around 2 years ago, I went to this gym. I told the gym instructor that I wanted to lose weight. The gym instructor told me that I should TOTALLY STAY AWAY from sugars, junk foods, alcohol, and things most people like to eat. Exercise more and eat less. Its no wonder why a lot of people in this world think that weight loss is a total hell of a struggle and thats because experts informed them what my gym instructor informed me before. I left the gym after 2 months because I never felt motivated by my trainer's advice.

I decided to do things on my own. I do admit that I lost weight doing some research online. If I can't follow what the experts are saying online, I go to another article. Ever since I started deciding on the program, I informed myself that I will never give up my favorite foods. Most of my friends are alcoholic and its pretty hard to resist them during weekends. I also admit that my brother loves to bring 3 boxes of pizza twice a week. I myself admit that I can't resist it. I can even eat 6 '18' inch slices of it without worrying about weight gain for as long as I STICK TO THE RULES of weight maintenance.

Anyway, I'll be sharing my realistic weight loss tips on my updates. I already made blogs about it and there is more to come.

This hottie can't resist junkfood

I had this office mate before. She really has a great body figure. Just imagine a hot woman who has a perfect vital statistics. We often to have lunch together. She is really hot but somehow she is engaged at that time(what a lucky bastard!). Moving to the topic, its really hard for me to believe at first that this friend of mine eats a lot of food. Whenever we go on lunch, she often chooses a fast food restaurant . She orders the meal loaded with too much calories like Big Mac, Whopper, Chili's Bacon studded burger, and Wendy's triple deck burger. Other things listed on her menu are a super large fries, large soda, and ofcourse, some ice cream. I guess Im gonna have a heart attack in case I do that. Although she admitted that she is not alcoholic and a non smoker. She even told me that she was a former obese girl a few years ago. I got curious with her situation. I've never seen a hot chic eat like that. Most women with good figures eat like their worried about getting fat on every bite. She is totally different. I asked her questions in some funny and friendly way like "How can you maintain that 36- 24- 36 figure by eating that much most of the time?" She replied "I have a strong metabolism." . She even told me that she didn't take any diet pills and shortcuts whatsoever. She did it the natural way. I asked for some tips from her on how she did it. She told things like..

- Drink lots of water
- Eat 6 small meals a day. (huh?? How come she's eating a Super Big Meal?)
- Get a sport to play on. (she swims a lot)
- Lift some weights.
- You can eat this much during breakfast or lunch. Not dinner.

I was skeptical about the second part she told me which is 6 small meals a day. She clarified that she just did it on the journey. When her weight loss journey was done, she wasn't even doing it anymore. She still continues her weight lifting and swimming sport twice a week compared to the past few months when she was doing it everyday for her weight loss.

Anyway, this is totally an inspiring weight loss/maintenance story to share. No shortcuts, no gimmicks, just the natural way. I did follow those 5 tips above that she gave me. 6 months after my journey, I decided to eat like her without worrying about weight gain. I followed the steps but sometimes I cheat whenever dinner is good. She just gave birth a few months ago but she still looks awesome right now. That story of hers is actually considered a slimmer's dream which can be achieved by anyone.

8 Weight loss tips

Weight loss didn't become a struggle for me. I've been doing it for 6 months and it has been successful. Below are a list of tips I can share.

1. Once you decide to lose weight, go for it. Don't think of it as a simple activity. Think of it as a long term goal or a career.

2. You don't really have to give up junk food. I can't give it up either. What you need is to do is limit it at least once or twice a week. Never think of diet as starving yourself. Its more of a food substitution and not reduction. Below this page is a link of foods you should probably eat as often as you want.

3. Move a lot. Exercise. Get into sports. If not, go for a morning or afternoon jog. Jogging is the best way to lose weight because you move consistently. Its gonna be a task at first until you'll notice that you're becoming addicted to it like its part of your lifestyle. Its also a great way to boost your metabolism.

4. Lift some weights. It speeds up weight loss. Don't worry about getting bulky cause it will take years of weight lifting for you to become one. I learned that lifting weights can burn carbohydrates, sugar, and fats instantly especially if you jog after.

5. Never trust any infomercials and info gimmicks you see on television which promises that you'll lose a lot of weight in a matter of days or weeks. Its just a way of doing sales talk to people. In reality its not gonna happen. If some people succeeded on weight loss pills, their metabolism did not improve. They might have lost weight in a short time and they'll probably gain back in shorter time because of poor metabolism. The best weight loss is still the old fashioned way which is clean diet and exercise. Remember: If you have a great metabolism, you can eat as much as you want without worrying about gaining weight.

6. Drink a lot of water. It has no calories and it flushes out the bad toxins in your body. Some think that water can make you heavy. The truth is it will clean up your body after. Limit your soda and some sweet stuff. Drinking diet soda is fine. Substitute cakes, candies, and chocolate with natural fruits to avoid sugar temptation.

7. Don't eat 3 hours before bedtime.

8. Check the weighing scale once every two weeks so you won't feel demotivated. Weight loss takes time and patience.
